Sample from 22 oz bottle. Piney resiny hop profile in aroma with lots of caramel. Clear amber dark golden. Flavor is slightly fruity with lots of caramel sweetness. Body and mouthfeel are full with a pretty bitter finish.

decaturstevo’s Febmergency Tasting. Sample from a bottle thanks to tronraner. Clear dark orange-red with a thin white head. Caramel and malt sweetness and a strong citrus hop presence. Taste is strongly sweet, fruity, caramel, and a spicy hop finish.

22oz bottle courtesy of Wetpaperbag poured into a tulip. Pours very dark for an IPA, a hazy caramel that shows bright amber when held up to light. The head is big, rocky and off-white and it hangs around as a one-inch cap for the duration leaving good lacing. The aroma is strong with the perfume of floral hops and some citrus with lots of lemons and oranges. There is some malt sweetness in there as well but only enough to provide minimal balance. The taste is also very bitter up front with a puckering lemony hop kick before a short-lived malt backbone comes in. The finish is slightly sweet with tropical fruit but the aftertaste is scathingly bitter. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated and medium bodied. This is a decent DIPA with a very big hop profile. It’s not extremely complex but it’s tasty.

Sample courtesy of the Oregon guy at JRHB. Medium amber, slight orange tint, decent head. Aroma was caramel malt and citric hops. Flavor matched, with enough malt background to balance the hops quite nicely. Perhaps not the most complex profile in the world, but enjoyable. Perhaps suffered from very slight oxidation. But enjoyable.

Amber pour with creamy white head and lace. Citrus dominates the nose for me. Semi sweet malt and a nice clinging bitter. Soft carbonation and medium bodied. Very nice to style.

Thanks to tronraner for sharing this one at the Februmergency Tasting. Hazy dark amber with a off-white head. Rich caramel aroma with citrusy hops. The flavor goes from a slight sweetness on the front side with a soft dryness on the back side.

Bottle at the Febmergency tasting. Pours orange with tight white head. The aroma is a little boozy with aggressive hops, apricot, dust, and strawberry leaves. The flavor is strawberry, apricot, lemon, and a dry dustiness. It finishes bitterly with a slight citric sourness. Pretty good, but I think there is a little bit of fusel alcohol throwing things off just a touch.
