Feb 7, 2009 Bottle at decaturstevo’s Februmergency Tasting for those of us that missed out on Sexual Chocolate ’09 thanks to tronraner. Hazy orange amber with soapy off-white head. Nose of floral hops and a hint of vanilla. Flavor is huge amounts of hop punch. Bitter, solid example, but didn’t do much else for me.

Feb 6, 2009 Hazy amber with a one inch cream color head. Good amount of lacings.
Aroma is piney floral hops.
Taste is bitter piney orange grapefruit hops. Malts are firmly in the background. The last third of the bomber was pretty cloudy. Overall not a bad DIPA. Hides the 8% abv pretty well too. Interesting label art.

Feb 5, 2009 Bottle: pours a hazy bronze/orange coloe with a nice white head that stays around. Aroma of grapefruit, rasions, hops, and some malt. Great full bodies and not too over carbonated. nice crisp finish. fab beer.

Jan 27, 2009 Bottle: Pours a slightly hazy amber bronze with stringy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of resiny grapefruity hops and lightly sweet caramely malt. Starts with good fullness and sweet lightly toasty crystal maltiness with a nice balance of citrusy flavoring hops before a crisp, bittersweet finish. Pretty well balanced and very drinkable, but could be a little more assertive on the hoppy front. Nonetheless, a pretty good brew.

Jan 21, 2009 Poured a hazed amber with a good sized off-white head. the aroma was of floral and perfumey hops with some light citrus notes. Citrus and citrus rind bitterness mix to form most of the flavor. Light malt and a mild-moderate sweetness. Citrus and spicy bitter finish. A fair amount of warmth. More than the two 11% beers I just had. Almost medium bodied.

Dec 24, 2008 22oz bottle acquired in trade with riversideAK -thanks!-. Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, a little earthy, and citrus. The floral earthiness dominates. Tastes of fruitiness, floral, caramel, and some toastiness. Fruity sweet and a lighter bitter hoppiness. Alcohol content well hidden.
