The modest aroma emits layers of hops from spiciness to floral and to citrus with a sweet mesa of maltiness underneath. The taste begins fresh and lively with hops bringing in notes of citrus, green-ness, grapefruit, grass, a bit of pine and a dash of orange hard candy. The hops go from late boil addition flavor to bitter and then back to flavor again. I get consistent modest malt sweetness creating a decent base for the experience. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 14, 2009 Bomber. Lightly hazy dark amber with a thick and lacy off-white head. Floral and earthy aroma with a bit of toffee to hold it up. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Mostly earthy taste, a little nutty toasty malt sweetness, with a smidge of pine on an otherwise earthy dry finish. This beer tends to accentuate the hop qualities that I like the least. Interesting, but just not my bag. Bronzan (26), Cotati, California, USA

Has a slight head that makes me chuckle. Tastes like hops. Fresh hops, floral hops, and citrus hops. Fabulous beer. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Bomer. Amber pour. Light white head. Aroma is malty and hoppy(citrus) Flavor is smooth with a great hop bite but not enough to offset the great malt bill. Very nice damn beer. Thanks to my cuz Sam for this one. leeburg (149), Juneau, Alaska, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Good experience with this bottle at BridgePort. Very sweet and floral nose; citrus, candy sugar, frosting. Maltiness gave balance to an otherwise fresh, hoppy taste sequence. Lightly bitter but mostly refreshing.
