Commercial Description:
This triple hopped ale is a bottle conditioned Imperial Style Ale. The fresh green Centennial Hops add floral overtones reminiscent of citrus fruits. Pleasingly strong fresh hop aroma, with good malt tones. Made with pale, chocolate and caramel malt.

Bottle. Pours a murky orange with a very small white head. Aroma of toasted malts and floral hops. Flavor is pretty similar--lots of malt (mostly toasted malt) and some citrusy and floral hops. Simple and easy to drink. A nice IPA.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with riversideak (thanks for yet another IPA!). Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, potting soil, and citrus. Tastes of floral hops, some citrus, and toasted bread. Lightly bitter.

Bottle at GABF 2008. Cloudy yellow - white head. Hoppy, grassy, sulfor, light malty, meat, citrus, it seemes a bit young....

Ugh. Just because you can make a fresh hop IPA does not mean that you should. Very pedestrian offering exhibiting high amount sof astringent, piney hop presence with a weak, dry backbone that really exposes the inadequacy of the hop build.

Bottle pours out a cloudy orange topped with a sand head. Aroma of citrus and light sweetness. Tast light hops and a nice bread malt. A little more hop aroma than tast.

Copper color with a tan head. Spicy hop aroma with grainy malt. Medium body. Nice fresh tasting toasted caramel malty flavor with resiny floral and herbal hops. Not a west coast hop bomb.

#521 (Ted Williams, Willie McCovey) From the bottle. Remarkable robust bitterness with a crisp, almost metallic bite and a sort of chalky after-feel.

Caramel colored pour with a thin soapy head. Aroma is earth, bread crust, and citrus. Similar flavor, quite a bit of doughy bread and just a bit of hop forward citrus comes through. Finishes clean with a long lasting yet minimal bitterness. Thanks to cokebottle!
