Commercial Description:
This triple hopped ale is a bottle conditioned Imperial Style Ale. The fresh green Centennial Hops add floral overtones reminiscent of citrus fruits. Pleasingly strong fresh hop aroma, with good malt tones. Made with pale, chocolate and caramel malt.

Bottle: Pours a hazy mahogany color with a thick off-white head and a thick sheet of lacing. The nose is fresh with lots of orange, spice and lemongrass along with a toasty malt background. The flavor is light and balanced; very little hop bitterness, a toasty pale malt note and a nice crispy hop flavor. Most of the hops are dry hops and it makes a nice San Diego style pale ale. Fresh and nice!

2008 Bottle - Pours orange with a large lasting off white head...aroma is citrus hoppy and astringent, but then yields to some caramel...flavour is similar, well hopped, both bitter and floral, and mellowed with subtle honey malt...good mouthfeel...I prefer a bit more of a floral aspect from a fresh hop brew, but was still very enjoyable...

Fresh post-rainstorm aroma with some spearmint. Amber color, slight haze, thick and dense persistent head. Green wood character to the hops which are everywhere. There’s some caramel and hazelnut to the malt. The earthy hops linger with a smoky edge, this may be my favorite wet hopped beer of the season.

Bottle. Caramel color with a nice off-white head. Grapefruit and slight woodsy/grassy aroma. Grapefruit flavor with some pine, caramel, and slight woodsiness. Medium body. Nice bitterness. Grapefruit lingers with some woodsy hops and caramel.

Sampled on 10/21/08. This Imperial IPA pours a deep orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grapefruit, orange peel, some malts and a bunch of herbs. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramely and fruity with a touch of sweetness. Hops are grapefruity and piney. It has that definite wet hop chewyness to it as well. Decent balance, with a good level of carbonation. Decent beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter, with a nice hop bite.

Had this brew at G.A.B.F. 08". Aroma is an interesting hop scent. Color is a hazy golden brown with fair carbonation and a nice tight head. Starting with a medium body it goes down easy with a crisp feel. Finish is a mild malt flavor then a nice floral hop taste. After taste is bitter. This is a tasty enough brew but seems a little light for a Double IPA.

22oz bottle Dark amber with medium head, and decent body. Inital aroma is hops and pine Overall the beer had a piney taste to it. The hops did not shine through like they should in a fresh hop beer. About what i would expect from Bridgeport, good but not outstanding.
