22 oz bottle via Liquid Sol (thanks Matt). Pours a hazy orange with an average sized off white head. Nose is floral and herbal hops, not as strong as i would like. Taste starts and ends sweet. Caramel, orange mandarin, pineapple, a bit of grassiness then more orange mandarin in the finish. I am a little dissappointed in how sweet this is. However with that said, it is a VERY tasty beer, i would have thought this was an amber ale though, not a fresh hop harvest Ale. So setting expectations aside (hard to do) this is a tasty outstanding beer that i could drink all day.

bottle. lightly hazed medium yellow, white head. wet hair and celery nose, very green and vegetal in the way that many of these wet-hopped beers tend to be, and I specifically remember the 2007 and 2008 versions also showing this character, albeit slightly different due to the malt changes. speaking of which, thankfully the caramel malt aren’t really picked up and mostly pale malt lets the hops do the body of work. unfortunately, like I said before, the hops are green/wet/celery/sugar snap peas and slightly moldy. it just doesn’t work.

Bottle... Poured orange with a thick, white head. I think the hops settled down in this bottle I purchased. Aroma of grains and a floral earthiness. Fruity, wheaty, and caramel-like malts with touch of hops. Not much bitterness with the hops or the alcohol. Sweet, grainy finish. Came off more like a east coast IPA rather than a west coast. Again, that could be because of the few months on this bottle.

Tame aroma for a DIPA. Moderate grapefruit and orange aroma, little sticky too on the nose. Some white sugar sweetness, some grapefruit, and some concord grape too. Little soapy in the body.

pours a cloudy dark copper with a small light beige head, and good lacing, and good lacing. smell is floral, hops, a touch of caramel in back, and a whiff of pine. taste of hops, caramel, some malt, a little pine, and a little perfume, ends a little bitter.

big hoppy beer, not really balanced but if you love hoppy, this is solid. The hops almost dry your mouth out, but in a pleasant way.

[2584-20091113] 1pt6floz bottle. A little sweaty grass hops and mild evergreen aroma. Hazy, brown amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Little bitter tree bark sap or resin flavour. Medium body is a little bitter. Drinkable, nice mellow bitter, don’t notice the alcohol.

2009-11-13. Hazy golden amber body with a small foamy white head. Really interesting fresh hoppy aroma. Lightly leafy, mildly fruity. 8+ Flavour is fairly hoppy, but only modestly bitter throughout. Pleasant leafy hops, very modest resin and very light citrus touches. Smooth average palate is lightly carbonated, just a touch light but pleasant nonetheless. Pretty solid beer that happened to catch me at the right moment. Really enjoyed this one. Bottle shared by Derek.

Nice hops and roasty malt aroma. Pleasant grapefruit flavor, a bamboo note both grassy and woodsy, nice lacing. A lon, midly bitter finish.
