Has a malty hoppy citrus aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a hoppy malty citrus finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. PilsnerPeter (2667), Flushing, New York, USA

Light body with estery notes. Seems like it high a high fermentation temperature. Some citrus notes come though; evident cascade spiciness/orangey notes. I’d want to try another batch. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Poured a murky orange with a small head. Aroma was floral hops, some mild orange peel, and malt. Taste was nice and hoppy. It’s clear they are using multiple hops to add character and variety on the tongue.
Dry finish, leaves the malt flavor on your tongue in the front, and the hops in the back.
All around a great IPA, although not as bitter as you’d expect. 944play (66), Santa Rosa, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2008 Updated: Apr 29, 200912oz in mug. Hazy gold-orange with fluffy white head. Distinct lychee aroma. Flavor adds lemon to the lychee. Vanishingly malty, dry and thin. Very pleasant, but far from what I would expect from a PacNW IPA.
RE-RATE: I am nutzo for that lychee and rose aroma. This is the only beer that brings it. Purchased at Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, but it was not on display, I had to ask for it. romeogolf (6), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2008 12oz bottle, acquired from friend visiting Seattle, poured into 4oz taster glass with a one-finger, rocky, white head. Medium gold color, hazy from bottle conditioning, with carbonation on the lighter side. However, the lighter body did not make it feel as flat if the OG were higher. Has many of the characteristics of an English IPA, so the "kick me in the nuts" hopheads will be disappointed. Different, though, in that the Cascade & Chinook give it a fruity and citrus overtone uncharacteristic of the UK IPAs. I found this to be a pleasant, flavorful session IPA. lumpsowers (252), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 24, 2008 I have not had one of these in a while, so it is nice that it has held up well compared to my first impressions. The bottle conditioning does wonders to the mouthfeel, and for the price this is a good IPA. The aromas are pleasant crisp citrusy hops and some caramel fruit sweet malts, flavor is easy with a good balance of all of the ingredients, mouthfeel is velvety soft, but just a tad thin, overall a very pleasant beer and would recommend it to anyone, it is a little bit easier to find than some others. ansermadide (523), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 21, 2008 (On tap at Tap Room on September 20, 2008) Semi-cloudy, pale orange... typical IPA appearance, on the deeper scale, though. Fabulous lacing. Aroma of hops and... my gosh... BAD BO - that’s right. Body odor. Mildew. ...Wow. Its taste redeems it a little, though, and blends the BO with the hops. It’s like, "oh, it’s just you, hops. Man, you need to take a shower." Very floral, leaves no bad aftertaste. A decent IPA. I almost want to say run-of-the-mill. I just don’t like the aroma on this one. I’m hoping it was a bad keg.
