Aug 14, 2007 This is a long time favorite of mine. I used to go to the BridgePort brewery for pizza and beer when I lived in the Portland area back in the early 90s. Usually priced less than competing brands at the supermarket, this beer is a bargain given its superior quality.

Aug 14, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a pale, cloudy gold, with a fair head to start. Really tangy citrus and spruce aroma. Flavor also carries the citrus tones, plus an herbal undertone of honey/heather. As a lightly bitter IPA, it’s a great summer beer, and the lower alcohol content adds to the appeal in this regard. It’s not a tongue-curler, but it has its uses.

Aug 14, 2007 Bottle Orange/copper pour with massive head. Grassy, floral hop aroma and flavor. Surprisingly and disappointingly light hop presence. Would have had a higher rating if it was more true to style.

Aug 10, 2007 pours a cloudy orange with no head.
smells of mandarin oranges and hops.
taste is smooth and dry, bitter, but a bit on the watery side.
not a great IPA, not as bitter as i would like.

Aug 4, 2007 Bottle from my son-in-law, Colin; Nose of grassy hops with a little floral added; hazy light amber with a medium off-white head; flavor of piney, grassy hops with a small amount of hop bitterness, along with a lemon note; finsh is mildly bitter. Not a hopbomb, but decent!

Aug 2, 2007 This bottled brew from a bottle shop in the Portland airport poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy softly carbonated dark orange brown colored body and thick foamy lacing. The aroma was hoppy and floral. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of hops mild brown malt mild caramel and floral. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Jul 26, 2007 12 ounce bottle graciously gifted by fisherman34. Colour is light cloudy tangerine with decent head and lacing. Nose is fresh woody hops- kind of smells like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Taste- yum!! Great refreshing citrus hops that give a real zing to the mouth. Carbonation also is quite high adding to that tangy zing. Great mouthfeel and is just plain tasty. Hops and malts are really well balanced and are in great harmony. This exceeded my expectations and would gladly have again. A great session IPA.
