Pours a cloudy golden pale blonde brew with a thick off-white head that slowly dissolves to a fine film. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, grapefruit and orange zest with some musty cardboard in the background. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied with some grapefruit, yeast and light wheat bread flavors. Finish is slightly watery, some tartness with a hint of grapefruit aftertaste. A little light for an IPA but closer to a Pale Ale style beer. Padron4KM (400), Chandler, Arizona, USA

Hazy golden yellow, with thick creamy off white head.
Aroma is caramel and citrus, with some floral character in there as well.
Flavor is citrusy grapefruit, with a watery sweetness and a spicy finish
Body is a little to thin and watery for my liking. TheCEO (100), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 4, 2007 This one is lacking in Flavor and Palate for it to be considered "Great"...the DRINKABILITY, on the other hand, IS great ...another "thirstquenching" IPA for the Summer...but seeing how I can get better IPAs for the same low price, I probably won’t drink this Beer again for a long, long time.. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2007 Good IPA. Not one of the best, but still pretty good. Lots of hops, but with it was a little more balanced like 60 min from Dogfish Head. Still, if you are a hophead, then its a pretty good beer. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

Aromas of pink grapefruit, passion fruit, nice floral and very pine like. Amazingly nice peppery bitter mouthfeel. Nicely carbonated. Full bodied and nice balance. Added flavors of pink grapefruit. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2007 On tap at Barley’s Brewhaus in OP, KS. Pours a hazy amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. At least that’s all that was left when it hit the table. The aroma is a strong citrus and pine with a caramel backing. The mouthfeel is fairly light and slick with a nice bitter finish. The flavor is a big Cascade/grapefruit front, balanced malty middle and a light bitter end. This one seems more like a well-hopped APA than an IPA, but it’s tasty nevertheless. EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Bottle via jake65 - thanks! Great hoppy aroma - musty and funky with pine, caramel, and a great earthy tone. Citrus and biscuit with faint Cascadey grapefruit. A nice mixture of hops, and far from overpowering. Pours a hazy golden with a creamy, lacing off-white head. Taste does not live up to the aroma - where did it go? Mild, medium body with some yeast and a dry, faintly bitter finish. Some mild lemon and non-bitter juiciness in the main body. Touch of chalk and vague fruitiness, but the latter is buried somewhat. Nice touch of England, traditional and pleasant, could drink an awful lot of this in an evening. drawde (115), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Updated: Jul 30, 2007I like the aroma, very grapefruity. But the appearance tells you straight-away that this is mediocre: cloudy but a very light color; dark yellow. Flavor: I’ve give it this--hops dominate. Honestly tastes like grapefruit juice; hops clearly humilate any meager malts. Palate is weak, as you’d expect from just 5.5ABV for an IPA. Overall, this should be first generation--someone should beg them to turn into a fantastic double IPA; that is; the malt-hop balance is perfect, but they need more of everything.
