Pours a hazy amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. At least that’s all that was left when it hit the table. The aroma is a strong citrus and pine with a caramel backing. The mouthfeel is fairly light and slick with a nice bitter finish. The flavor is a big Cascade/grapefruit front, balanced malty middle and a light bitter end. This one seems more like a well-hopped APA than an IPA, but it’s tasty nevertheless. EithCubes (2151), Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Bottle via jake65 - thanks! Great hoppy aroma - musty and funky with pine, caramel, and a great earthy tone. Citrus and biscuit with faint Cascadey grapefruit. A nice mixture of hops, and far from overpowering. Pours a hazy golden with a creamy, lacing off-white head. Taste does not live up to the aroma - where did it go? Mild, medium body with some yeast and a dry, faintly bitter finish. Some mild lemon and non-bitter juiciness in the main body. Touch of chalk and vague fruitiness, but the latter is buried somewhat. Nice touch of England, traditional and pleasant, could drink an awful lot of this in an evening. drawde (115), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Updated: Jul 30, 2007I like the aroma, very grapefruity. But the appearance tells you straight-away that this is mediocre: cloudy but a very light color; dark yellow. Flavor: I’ve give it this--hops dominate. Honestly tastes like grapefruit juice; hops clearly humilate any meager malts. Palate is weak, as you’d expect from just 5.5ABV for an IPA. Overall, this should be first generation--someone should beg them to turn into a fantastic double IPA; that is; the malt-hop balance is perfect, but they need more of everything. a10555 (125), West Chester, Ohio, USA

Taste of cascade hops. Palate is somewhat thin but not bad. A pretty good IPA. bigcat03 (191), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 21, 2007 Bottle from Hy-Vee poured into tulip glass - Pours cloudy amber with a 1 finger rocky off-white head; Grass, pine, and skunk to the nose; Mostly pine and yeast on the initial taste; Same on the aftertaste; chunky medium body; Decent carbonation; Don’t know how the sediment got in there at all. An average IPA that could do with a better variety of hops as opposed to more. hophead75 (1961), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 21, 2007 bottle as a trade bonus from Hair, thanks! Pours mildly hazy orange in color. Aroma is lightly hoppy but I would have expected more hops up front. Taste is citrus and floral hops in balance with the malt character. Hops seem to be more supportive rather than assertive. Finishes mildy bitter. djd07 (747), Houston, Texas, USA
