| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2007 finally had this on draught. color is hazy golden. aroma is moderate citrus hoppiness. taste is much more potent hoppiness which is citric and pineapple in nature. there is just enough sweet malt to back it up. the finish is nice dry citrus. very solid ipa i could enjoy this all day during the summer. thefederalist (227), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Pours golden amber, nice head. Aroma is piney, but one dimensional. Flavor is more of the same, thought not a bad malt profile, for an IPA. Drinkable, and well balanced, if a bit simple. Saarlander (1583), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2007 Nice hazy gold pour. Floral aroma, decent lacing. Great flavor to this one, hops dominate, but it has hints of floral, citrus, malt. very nice! mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Bottle. Avg. White head (mostly dissapating) that leads into murky golden color; tiny particles present. Great lacing. Aroma of perfume, spruce, and pine. Flavor; initially a touch of bitter with sweet and finishes with only slight more bitterness. Medium finish duration. Dry texture. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. Different than any IPA I have ever had, but still a good flavor (quality). darbish (81), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 1, 2007 sweet malty aroma, pours dark-orange and very fizzy.
very fragrant and tastes very similar to how it smells. finishes with an astringent flavor in accordance with its hops contents.
tastes very good and i can see myself buying much more in the future. S rating. Angeloregon (2033), Portland, Oregon, USA

Still bottle conditioned and as flavorful as ever, this is arguably the quintessential American IPA. Poured a burnished copper body with a nice medium-sized white head and appealing lacing. Grapefruit hops that were well balanced with the choice malt selection. Finished extremely clean and satisfying. Awesome brew! SamuraiArtist (292), portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 23, 2007 One of the best northwest IPAs. Has a more spicy and dry flavor than most. One of the more bitter IPA’s and lingers a little from the dryness. Excellent flavor with floral notes. This is all hops. JCB (1792), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Nice orange glow in the body, frothy head, and very lively mouthfeel. Definitely has the kind of citrus hop kick you’d expect, but there’s an interesting warmth that develops as you familiarize. Not necessarily even so malty but fine and almost buttery, if that makes sense. A contender.
