I first had this at the brewhouse in Portland, now when it’s available here, I snag a 6. Nicely balanced and has that good mild bitterness I like in a single IPA. Me likey....!! bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 30, 2006 Draught at The Public House in Port Townsend. Poured a hazy amber/orange an off white head that produced some lace. Aromas of oranges, grapefruit, yeast with some malty notes. Body was medium with soft carbonation. Tasted grapefruit and malt sweetness with a resinous finish. A good example of the style. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 27, 2006 Cloudy, orange body with a smallish white head. Pleasantly hoppy and floral aroma with some herbs and a tiny bit of maltiness to it. A average, but decently made IPA overall. The flavor is very mild considering the bitterness I expect from a good IPA, and it is dry with a finish that doesn’t really stay with you. notalush (2691), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 27, 2006 Bottle from santa - bright orange pour with attractive lace - bready aroma, with an earthy, floral character - crisp and spicy, with a relatively low hop profile, yeasty quality and tang that one usually finds in the more traditional, British examples - nothing to rave about, but pretty solid. ichiban (1), Florida, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2006 From my home state, my brother hails this as one of the best IPA’s. I tend to agree even though I prefer less hoppy beers. drpimento (882), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 27, 2006 Pours with a nice brass color, foamy creamy head that lasts with good lace. Not overly hoppy for an American IPA. Nice body. Some lingering hop aftertaste. Not bad. Got this at a liqour store in Nashville and drinking the bottle out of water glass in my hotel room. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2006 Pours a hazy pale gold. Surprisingly pale gold. Dense two-finger cream-colored head, sheets of lace. Smells of herbal and citrus hops with a faint aroma of pale malt.
Lightly fruity and grassy malt. Followed by a finih of pleasantly biting herbal hops. Crisp mouth. A bit light for the style. A strident low-level bitterness that builds throughout. Good stuff, good session beer. drainey (231), Chicago, Illinois, USA
