| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 18, 2006 Updated: Sep 20, 2007Draught. Pours light golden with small head. Aroma is relatively nondescript, but has a bit of floral and piney hops. Flavor is quite good---quite hoppy, with mostly floral and general bitter hops, and a bit of piney taste. Finishes bitter but with a hint of malt. A bit mild by modern-day west-coast IPA standards, but still quite good.
Rerate from bottle, 9/13/2006: Mostly the same of course, but the aroma is stronger and more complex, with some citrus character, and the flavor has a noticeable yeasty and spicy component. Somewhat better than on draught, mainly due to the bottle-conditioning which adds a nice yeasty edge. I’d give the draught a 3.6, and the bottle a 3.7. zug4abby (287), San Diego, California, USA

It promotes nice small sips that are utterly relaxing. I belive Bridgeport is one of the best values in the beer world, very good beers and great prices. This one is worth buying,. I enjoyed it at the Electro Lounge in OKC. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 14, 2006 Bottle: London foggy look with lots of bubbles and a nice white head. The color is a gold/copper and has fairly sticky lacing. The aromas are hops and the taste is an interesting combination of apricots and hops. I had low expectations for this one, and was pleasantly surprised finding it yumscilicious and refreshing. It shows a slight bitter aftertaste (could have been more) and has an easy finish. This is a great IPA when you are not in your mood to have your mouth assaulted by a gang of ultra bitter hops, but still want the style. Delsym (31), Vinton, Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Bottled. Poured a nice, coppery color with lots of yeast "floaties". Aroma was somewhat subdued, but taste more than made up for it. Hoppy character was crsip and assertive, but not too much so. I was more than pleasantly surprised by this one. Pick a sixer up and you’ll be, too. chilehead (186), Laguna Niguel, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 5, 2006 Poured hazy golden with a moderate head. Aroma was a bit musty, flavor was hoppy but not the fresh floral hops I generally prefer. An ok beer, but not a stunner.
