The beer had a light hoppy IPA aroma with a moderate to high hoppy taste. I was told it was the hoppiest beer that the bar carried, but I was still disappointed, I wanted more hopps. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 14, 2006 Pours with a golden-orange body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet and full of grapefruity hoppiness and a touch of pine. Medium bodied, smooth and sparkling. highgravity79 (2), cushing, Oklahoma, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2006 bottle conditioned IPA, nice amber/orange color, hazy... very nice aroma of citrus and pine, malty sweet, hoppy enough to satisfy the biggest of hop heads... very nice HopDevil1979 (117), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Smells skunked and slightly hoppy but more vinegar-y.. Uh oh. Upon pouring I see light amber foggy beer with a smallish head. Tastes better than it smells, cutting mild hops behind a candy like sweetnes,, the flavor is satisfying and jumps right of the palate, ultra mild aftertase that almost doesn’t exist. Overall a quality beer, but I think its current percentile of 89 is overrated. Mumpu (46), USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 10, 2006 This is a bottle-conditioned beer FYI (not mentioned in the description).
Pours a cloudy orange with an enduring thick off-white head. Pine and dried fruit aroma. Opens with sweet aromatic malts followed by moderate hops, malty nutty aftertaste. Medium body with oily smoothness. Restrained carbonation.
This is not a killer IPA (an American Pale Ale would be the more correct classification). Regardless, it is a really great beer with delightfully balanced flavor and smooth palate. One of my top beers to accompany a relaxing conversation. dwedin (238), Portland, Oregon, USA

Aroma of grapefruit and pine but the aroma seemed a little understated. Decent hop taste- pine, citrus and bread notes. Nice finish a bit of hop oil and velvety mouth feel. doubleipa (224), Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2006 Had really wanted to have this on tap in Portland, but the brewpub was under construction when we were there. Almost no head. Body was a bit hazy and orange. Fair amount of lacing. Aroma of pine, hops and light yeast. I had expected more hops. Short finish. Texture was dy with a fizzy carbonation, but why no head? Slight hoppiness in the taste, but it didn’t last. Not really inspired by this. Reminded more if an English IPA, rather than a West Coast version.
