The aroma is wonderful, and the flavor is fabulous. The "buzz" after one beer leaves one reminiscing of sitting in a dark woody brewpub atmosphere and enjoying all that surrounds you. Thank heavens this Oregon microbrew is available in bottles here in Texas oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2005 Pours a medium golden amber color. Aromas of citrus and fruit. Flavor is a big hop presence with subtle tastes of fruit and vegetables, then more hops. This is one damn fine IPA. brentfeesh (1038), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2005 Pours copper-orange with minimal head. Lightly citrus grapefruit in the aroma (hints of orange too) with a bit of mineral. Solid but nothing special. Nice standard IPA with good citrus hop presence. Medium body with dry clean finish. Good. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2005 Bottle. Poured a golden amber color with a small, off-white head that mostly dissipated and left light lacing. Citrus, pine, and peach aroma. The flavor let out pine, citrus, and a hint of malts. Very light flavor for an IPA. Light body and light to no bitterness. Easy drinking but light overall for an IPA. dpointer74 (16), Lubbock, Texas, USA

While the overall consensus here indicates that I知 overrating this ale, I find this to be one of the finest IPA痴 available. Hopiness is enough to satisfy without being overpowering. gsteph (264), knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 5, 2005 Pours hazy straw color with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma is a faint, but fair, fresh pine. Floral, pine and lemon citrus flavors. Not as much bite though as I like my IPA痴 to have. I知 also a fan of a little more maltiness. I believe the lack of malt, or the five types of hops, makes this a little unbalanced. Fair overall, not bad for a grocery store buy. Oakes (8093), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 5, 2005 Hazy golden amber with slow moving tiny bubbles and an inch thick bleached white head. Very nice appearance. Hops are a little musty in the aroma, with peachy accents and some pine as well. Moderate bitterness...body again a bit musty, I guess from the yeast. This dulls the palate a bit more than I壇 like. There is an even balance between simplistic but well-extracted pale malt base and a somewhat generic hoppiness. Using so many varieties is not something I知 a fan of...the hop character becomes indistinct. I知 getting shades of this and that, but nothing specific. The finish is dry, a bit harsh with that yeastiness.
