malrubius (511), USA Nov 28, 2008 12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Golden orange with lasting flat head and lace. RIch hoppy aroma with fruit. Fruity apricot peach sweetness with failry bracing hop bitterness and bitter dry finish. Medium body and carbo. Very nice sessionable assertive IPA. CheersMate1 (318), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 27, 2008 I am not understanding how this beer is that highly rated. I think the beer looks nice. Nice orange haze color. Looks like a damn good IPA. The thin head on top is also nice. Aroma is a bit on the weak side. There are some citrus hops in the aroma as well. The only problem is I am having a hard time smelling this stuff. Let’s talk taste, um k. Creamy with the palate, but I am not impressed with the taste itself. The hops just seem lower quality. The hops don’t have that nice sharp citrus or pine taste that I would kill a man for! No seriously, I would! Anyways, The bittering hops hit the front of my tongue, but there is not this overall, bitter hop taste that I was expecting. Maybe I have had too many imperial/double IPAs lately, because I need some more bitter. Maybe I have had too much to drink. Overall, decent beer, but the hops seem a bit funky! emacgee (1192), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 31, 2008 Pours a pale hazy golden with a one fingre creamy off white head. The nose is sweet, citrusy, nice hoppy aroma, mild malt sweetness but otherwise a very perfumey floral hop aroma. The flavor is mildly bitter, some orange and citrus, grapefruit rind bitterness, mild corn. Nice tasty IPA. Easy to drink, definitely doesn’t stand up to the big dops by style but definitely a nice flavorful easy drinking IPA. arondee (81), USA Oct 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a birght orange with a ton of carbonation and a small white head. Very fragrant, lots of hops and citrus. Taste is pretty hoppy with a lot of citrus grapefruit and lemon. Surprisingly good IPA. Beardface (257), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 26, 2008 Formerly a standard brew for me to drink, I’ve moved on to bigger and better things but this is still an amazing session beer when I’m too broke to buy a bunch of 22s. Huge hop aroma, which is to be expected with the large variety of hops present. Very grapefruity taste with that big hop flavor as well. I’m kind of pining for this one right now, should go pick up a six pack.
