Clear garnet color with a minimal offwhite head.Aromas of plum, grape, and tobacco promise more than yhe flavor delivers. Somewhat complex flavors of grape tobacco and some pepper. Still the flavors are light for the style, as is the mouthfeel. Come on Bridgeport, you can do better than this!

2003 bottle. Ruby, no head. Nose has grapes, tobacco, alcohol, plenty of malt and subdued hops. Quite English with tangy malt, caramel, alcohol, tobacco, cerry, vanilla. Bitter finish. Body is somewhat lacking

Pours golden amber colored with a disappearing head. Sweet pilsener malt aroma with sour hints. Sharp and unbalanced flavor of sweet malt and citrus fruit. Since I normally love American barley wines this was a big dissapointment!!

Bottle.2003 Vintage. Pours a deep rich caramel/red color with a thin head and some lacing. Nose of caramel apples. Very balaced maltiness with a slight hop bite. Very drinkable.

Pours medium amber with a thing white head. Mostly diminishing head with decent lacing. Smells of sweet, hops, and bitter smelling. Real sweet and then gets real bitter neat bear.

An amber beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol and oranges. The flavor is sweet with lots of alcohol that burns the tongue, but also notes of wood and caramel. Too simple for my liking.

Clear amber body, some bubbles and a mid sized head. Aroma is slightly malty, sweet and candy like with a light whiskey hint. Flavour was lightly malt, grape, alcohol and some sugars. Enjoyable, but not really a lot going on.

Nice clear amber body with light head. Slight malty aroma. Decent malt palate with good hop balance. A bit of a bite towards the finish.
