Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 1, 2008 Poured a golden-copper body with a fluffy white head. Bitter, sharp, and well carbonated. Big time session beer. Mild metallicness from the hops. Ok brew. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Dec 20, 2007 Word from the brewmaster at the brewpub is that this recipe is the one now used for ESB. So: Cask at the brewpub at the brewery. Clean caramel aroma. Clear dark amber color. Off-white head that sticks around. Soft, luscious, fruity, malty with floral/fruity hop. The bitter balancing the malt does not seem to be pine or citrus. Fresh floral/fruity finish, hints of malt here at the end, mild bitter, and some possible citrus sour at the back of the mouth. Fantantastic. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 23, 2007 Had this beer on 5/1/2001. Aroma is a light malt scent with a hint of hops. Color is deep gold with very active carbonation and a nice head. Taste is fresh and spicy. Starting with a medium body that goes down crisp with a slight malt flavor. Finish is a round malt flavor backed by a spicy hop flavor. It reminds me a bit of Coors Extra Gold with a little boost in flavor kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 10/15/1996

Valikyte (9), Peoria, Arizona, USA does not count Feb 8, 2007 I found this beer to be a very relaxing brew with a nice head and diverse flavor levels. Honestly, I think it’s one of the best Am. Pale Ales out there in decent distribution. eaglefan538 (2352), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jun 5, 2006 Poured with a very nice head and with decent lacing. The flavor was somewhat funky, slightly off for the style (no idea what it was), and the aroma pretty undetectable. Not much going on here. jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA May 4, 2006 Golden/orange colored pour with a nice little whitish head. Aroma was light and hoppy, taste is a blend of malts, light hops, and some citrus tones. Flavor wasn’t medium at all, but rather mild. More hops please! jennajlover (101), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 20, 2006 Tart as it said in desription. Tight white head and a pale ale like bitterness similar to sierra nevada. Nice clean finish with citrus notes and a nice even mouthfeel
