So I’m pinned. The rap being a geek. Easily drinkable beer it is. Almost TOO easy. It has all the elements and the proportions seem to balance out, but my own calibration has been thrown by many things including their own IPA -which I rate as so far superior as to make this seem backwash. Leave it for the kids. Save it for when you’ve abused yourself with masses of barleywines or IIPAs. I like the label and cap more than I do the beer. Seems a very good "starter" beer as it’s got it all in a toned down fashion.
Thanks chris, I enjoyed it more than it might sound sloth (1677), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Light malt nose, bready. Light bodied. Dry grainy malt flavors with a peppery, spicey hoppiness. Finish is dry, malty. A nice brew, easy to drink, sorta ho hum though. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 18, 2005 it’s kinda like when you rent a car-- one you’ve never driven before-- you’ve gotta take a minute to find everything, ya know what i’m sayin’? how does the A.C. work?, where’s the gas nozzle? well, ditto with this beer. it’s a brand new ’05 pintail. i get it into the glass, see, and i’m good to go, cool -- but, i can’t find the aroma. usually it’s right on top, right? i checked the glovebox, there’s no fucking handbook. christ. i mean it’s a sweet looking ride and all, it’s just screamin’ orange-- like a couple cleveland brown linebackers bearin’ down on ya, big white sidewalls, a totally stylin’ unit. but i need that aroma, so i call the brewery, and some wanker there says to look for that little whiff of sugar cookie and damp lumber. what?! that’s IT?!? apparently so. then, like i dumb ass i hang up-- ’cause then two seconds later i taste it -- and... and now i can’t find the goddamn flavor! i mean, where could they hide the friggin’ flavor? i found all the carbonation-- that was everywhere, and the beer tastes like it’s made out of old floor boards. kinda woody but in a bland sort of way, y’know? maybe a little citrus from all the varnish. sure, a beer like this will get you from point ’a’ to point ’b’-- if all you care about is a cold beer and a buzz-- but when it comes to ridin’ in REAL style, listen chief, i think i’d rather walk. Light hops and caramel flavor that is there one minute then gone. The beer is a good start into micro’s for someone looking to test the waters. Padron4KM (400), Chandler, Arizona, USA

Carmel and bread dominate the aroma. one has to really agitate the beer to bring any hops out and even then they are faint.
Flavor is mildly bitter, mildly sweet.
Body is thin and watery.
finish is short and mildly ctrus. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 5, 2004 12 oz. bottle: This one pours an amber color, with a bit of white foam. Mild but pleasing aroma. It consists of a mild malt sweetness and a slight whiff of hops. The taste is slightly caramel sweet with a hint of tartness in the aftertaste. A touch of citrus also. OK, but definitely not exciting. This might be a good micro starter for your friends.
