Aug 15, 2004 Poured a clear copper color. Very weak head with a gray ting. Hops predominate in the odor, but citrus is there along a touch of fruit. Flavor is much the same with a lot of fruits. A little bit sweet overall. Not much carbonation, and an odd palate. Decent finish. A very average Pale Ale.

Aug 9, 2004 On tap at BridgePort, sampled 4 August 2004. This was originally served to me in a tulip glass as their cask-conditioned barleywine, but the furious movements of my pen led to the realization I was actually rating Pintail Ale. Clear copper body with a thin off-white head. Musty, earthy fruit aroma with light caramel and toast. Caramely flavor with light fruit notes, toast, and some bittering hops. Boring but not terrible.

Jul 15, 2004 Bottle Pours a nice copper/amber with a decent head that lingers for a bit leaving some stubborn lacing. Lightly roasted rain and hops are the aromas. Bread and hops are the first flavors but then a darker smokey flavor comes through. Otherwise plain and straightforward. Finsih is clean, light and a slight bitterness that I expect.
