Jun 3, 2004 Lighter copper color, clear body, small thin off-white cap, little lacing. Aroma is a bit on the fruity side with some melon, a bit of citrus tones from hops and slight pine, buttery sweet and clean, but a bit too sweet, more hop tones needed I think. Taste is much better, but not a bad drinker, sweetly fruity with more then enough malts, melon-like, pears and dull apples mark the flavors mostly, some hoppy things approach the finish with a bit of grassy spice and pine but lacks depth with a very mild little bite. Feel is shy of medium with a lower carbonation and malty sweetening thats a bit sticky upfront but it drys out some for the finish. Not a bad drinker, just a slightly better then average pale with more of a malt rendered approach which may suit some, but not I said me.

May 30, 2004 Pours a nice copper color with a small white head that falls fast. Slightly malty aroma and taste was smooth and malty. End taste was slightly fruity, almost apple like, with an slight hop finish.

May 19, 2004 Thin, watery palate, but moderate bodied; quite a malty flavor; fairly smooth; (suprisingly) lacking hop flavor/bittering; basically, a highly drinkable, decent, unexciting pale.

Apr 29, 2004 Pretty average for my favorite brewery. Poured an enormous offwhite head that quickly dissapated had a clear off copper look. A somewhat yeasty taste but very refreshing. Would be nicer with a crisper bite.

Apr 26, 2004 A slightly above average beer. Nothing great but nothing bad either. It pours a pale amber color with virtually no head. Everything about this beer is mild and unassuming. The nose is light caramel and malt, with a touch of citrus. Light bodied, with flavors of malt and a hint of hops in the finish.

Mar 31, 2004 Bottle. Amber colored. This beer just takes up space on the shelf. There's nothing to draw you to it and definately nothing to make you want more. It's boring.

Mar 16, 2004 Also referred to as Pintail Copper Ale. Fruity, grape aroma, suggesting moderate sweetness. Copper, amber color--aw, who knows, close enough to the name. Childrens' candy flavor for the first tastes--sweet tarts, a bit sour--then gone. Plain Jane palate, cloying sweetness. An aftertaste of basil to me.... (on tap, BridgePort BrewPub, Portland)
