Distinct, slightly sour note of green grapes, fruity Munich malts, and mild citrusy hops. Smells like apple tea (Snapple?). Medium, tea-like acidity with fruity malt notes. Clean and mostly dry finish, except for an iced-tea quality aftertaste that builds and lingers. Low bitterness. Watery, slightly chalky mouthfeel. Decent and drinkable but nothing special. beeriodic (61), Longmont, Colorado, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 6, 2003 Light copper color, with a soapy foam-type head. Very effervescent. Faint floral hop aroma, but not much. The flavor doesn't carry hops either, and just a slight bitterness. Dry finish. A very timid pale ale. Maybe this is for someone stepping up into craft brewing from Bud/Mil/Coors. Reid (1092), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2003 Bought this in a brown 12ozer bottle with no "best before" date.
MM the appearance is pretty par for the course with other "copper" ales it is a coppery colour, with almost no head to mention..though it does retain a smallish lace around the glass..seems very "fizzy".
Smell is pretty good though not great..though less hoppy than most NW brews
Taste I am afraid is very average, maybe its just me I always seem to rate Bridgeport brews as not very tasty. just a strange bitterness to it after swallowing though its not Cascade Hops bitterness..not appetizing.
The mouth feel is exscessivlly carbonated..its too much
all in all an average beer..I will not buy again

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2003 Golden beige amber. Light head and average lacing. Light hop aroma with some DMS. Malt & hop flavors, nothing special. Wet and musky finish. This is a session, not a winter one. SG (456), San Clemente, California, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Aug 6, 2003 It is a copper color with a small head that diminished fast. I get a predominant malty aroma. The taste is malt dominant and it has a skunky-bitter finish. It also has a nasty old rust taste, like they threw in some copper for good measure. I sure hope this was a bad bottle. Tastes alot like english pale ales and is similar to a sierra nevada. It does lack the hops but is very drinkable. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 12, 2003 I must say that I was not rerribly impresed with this one. Too carbonated, extremely light bodied and not very complex. Essences of fruit in the flavor with almost a nut brown style to it. I think I will stick with their ipa.
