Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours a black body with a tan head. Sweet light chocolate notes, sawdust, and some toffee notes. A nice session porter. KyotoLefty (1370), Kyoto, Japan Sep 13, 2009 Draught at the Bridgeport Brewery.
Fruity, chocolaty aroma. Slightly woody and smoky flavor, with chocolate and a bit of coffee. Rich and tasty, with a pleasant fruity tanginess.
stchloe (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Feb 22, 2009 Oh my lord this was a bad beer. I couldn’t drink it. Thankfully it was only a taster, but still. Tastes like soap, straight up. Cletus (4999), Connecticut, USA Nov 1, 2008 Pours brown with a thin tan head. Smells of sweet malt, some roasty hints. Tastes of roasted malt and chocolatey with a peppery splash on the finish. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Oct 19, 2008 Draught @ Bridgeport Brewing. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with some weak hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 18, 2008 Tap at their NW location... Poured black with a light brown head. Roasted malt and sugary candy aroma. Really full and foamy palate. Great coffee flavors up front and a little hops, but then dominated by malt, candy and nut flavors. Dried up towards the finish and a creamy, almond aftertaste. BiddleBrau (303), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 21, 2008 Black with faint ruby highlights and thin tan head. Burnt coffee/toffee aroma. Roasty, burnt flavor. Slightly creamy and dry but not astringent. More burnt and roasy for my tastes but that’s the life of a porter
cathcacr (585), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 30, 2008 Just had this the first time on draft and it was delicious! They should refer to this as Bridgeport Chocolate Porter since the Chocolate aspects were most ample.
