Commercial Description:
a dark, rich, indulgent brew. It owes its taste to select Goldings and Magnums hops. This generous blend is then naturally conditioned in the bottle or keg an additional three weeks to create a roasted flavor.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of sweet malt (pilsner or the like), leading to a bitter finish. The body is thin.

On tap at BrewPub Portland OR, Pours out a almost black topped with a tan head. A nice coffee aroma. Tast of coffee some light smoke and a touch of chocolate. This Porter had a great full bodie as well.

not my favorite porter. Looks great with the dark brown color and a good tan head. After that the flavoor just doesn’t do it for me. just a very light flavor and not enough of what I expect from a porter.

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of toasted malt and very light coffee. Medium body with pert carbonation. Black color with creamy tan head. Flavor is smooth toasted malt, transitioning to something like cola, followed by floral fruity notes. Finishes very smooth, definitely fruity, and extremely pleasant.

On tap at Zach’s Shack in Portland, OR--Poured a nice brown-mahogany-black body with a medium-sized tan head. Notes of malts, coffee, chocolate, and nuts. A little astringent bite from the hops at the end. Medium bodies, but very nice.

Had this beer on 11/3/2000. Aroma is a deep roasted scent. Color is a dark almost black. Carbonation is good as well as head. Taste is mildly bitter and roasted. Stating with a full body it goes down with a smooth creamy feel. Finish is big coming on with a deep roasted flavor backed by a mild bitterness and finishes off with a dry feel. This is a very nice Porter.
