Commercial Description:
a dark, rich, indulgent brew. It owes its taste to select Goldings and Magnums hops. This generous blend is then naturally conditioned in the bottle or keg an additional three weeks to create a roasted flavor.

Darkish brown pour. Aromas of roasted malts with a little chocolate. Flavor is kinda mellow compared to other porters. Starts roasty and finishes with a little smoke.

great new porter recipe at the Bridgeport brewery public house, much better than the previous porter that they used to bottle. Very roasty tasting with a smoky finish, very smooth and tasty, well balance beer for porter lovers.

On tap at the Bridgeport brewery. This brew on tap is a different recipe than the old bottled version, the head brewer replaced the old recipe, and did a damn good job in my opinion. This new brew was much better than the previous porter. Starts very roasty and chocolaty in the aroma. The taste is very rich and malty with a great roasty taste and a slight smokiness in the finish. Very smooth and well balanced, a great porter.

I think this guy is underrated. It’s not the best porter I’ve had but there is nothing offensive or detracting about it. Deffininting a classic porter that goes down incredibly smooth. Something you could all night long and not tire of.
