| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 21, 2002 At first sip this porter struck me as rather interesting. The maltiness kind of blankets your tongue and hangs out until the next sip. My ratings increased slightly as I got further down the glass. Better served above room temp. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 19, 2002 Dark brown color, small head, roasted malt aroma. Roasted malts. Full flavored. Lighter taste than most porters. Mouthfeel is full and round, no bitterness. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is malty, no bitterness. Sickboy282 (1100), San Diego, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2002 This beer was wierd the first time I tried it. I mean wierd in a good sense here. It probably has the most interestingly malt flavor of porter I have ever had. While it is not the best I would recommend trying it at least once, even if you don’t like porters. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 6, 2002 Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, fully diminishing. Body is dark orange-brown, dense tiny and small particles. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, dark chocolate), lightly hoppy (citrus - orange), notes of clove and plum. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately astringent. Aroma is pleasant enough, but it’s got the usual Amerimicro trappings: bitingly sour, astringent, watery, and fizzy.
