Commercial Description:
a dark, rich, indulgent brew. It owes its taste to select Goldings and Magnums hops. This generous blend is then naturally conditioned in the bottle or keg an additional three weeks to create a roasted flavor.

the bottle smoked like the hot barrel of a sniper's rifle..when poured, a tannish head rose but fell just as fast...roasty and toasty aroma..tad vegginess and some coffee tones...toasted nuts flavor..there was something else about the flavor that i didn't like..it had a lagerish finish..kind of stale tasting..and..I dont know..rather boring..

Tap @ brewery. They called this "Firkin Ale" at the brewery. Some roasted character. Dark brown color. Fairly bland and watery porter.

At first sip this porter struck me as rather interesting. The maltiness kind of blankets your tongue and hangs out until the next sip. My ratings increased slightly as I got further down the glass. Better served above room temp.

Dark brown color, small head, roasted malt aroma. Roasted malts. Full flavored. Lighter taste than most porters. Mouthfeel is full and round, no bitterness. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is malty, no bitterness.

A decent porter, but a little lacking. Not bad though.

This beer was wierd the first time I tried it. I mean wierd in a good sense here. It probably has the most interestingly malt flavor of porter I have ever had. While it is not the best I would recommend trying it at least once, even if you don’t like porters.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, fully diminishing. Body is dark orange-brown, dense tiny and small particles. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, dark chocolate), lightly hoppy (citrus - orange), notes of clove and plum. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately astringent. Aroma is pleasant enough, but it’s got the usual Amerimicro trappings: bitingly sour, astringent, watery, and fizzy.
