Jul 11, 2003 Small tan head atop a clear chestnut body. Aroma is moderately sweet, dark chocolate, caramel, light orange and cherry. Taste is underwhelming, especially after the inviting aroma -- mildly sweet, watery roasty chocolate, finishing roasty with trace of cherry and earthy bitterness. Medium body.

Oct 24, 2006 On tap at Bridgeport, Portland. Black with disappearing tan head. Sour dark malt aroma. Again, a bit carbonated which gave it a thin feel in mouth. Nice liquorish flavour, bit of smoke, choccy liquorice, still excellent despite the lack of fullness in mouth.
