22 oz bottle. Pours a clear black body with a bit of light passing thru on the edge. One finger fizzy beige head fades to a thin film leaving some light lacing behind. Great thick licorice and roast nose with some burnt coffee and light alcohol. Lots of burnt caramel and sweet vanilla cream as well. Roast, burnt caramel, and licorice all work together really well on the flavor. Maybe a bit too sweet even, but it’s not too bad. Finishes a bit astringent with a light alcohol kick. Full, thick, and oily on the palate with a clingy sticky finish. Light soft carbonation. This was pretty decent, the sweetness got to me a bit near the end of the bottle, but it wasn’t a chore to finish.

Dec 10, 2009 pours incredibly dark with a light chocolate colored head. The barrel aging in the pinot really stands out, while the bourbon is pretty transparent. its a terrific, malty, chocolate taste with a pretty bitter aftertaste. Overall, its a very good beer....Plus its the first beer i’ve ever had with 3-D glasses, which are awesome.

Nov 8, 2009 Received 22-oz bomber (with 3D glasses) via trade with riversideAK. Pours a semi-clear dark brown colored brew with an average beige head that slowly dissipates to an off-white ring. Aroma of roasted dark malt, dark caramel, a hint of vanilla and some coffee. Taste is full bodied, light carbonated with flavors of toasted dark malt, chocolate, some coffee, black licorice and a touch of bourbon. Finish is when the bourbon and Pinot Noir character comes out. Finish is smooth, soft texture with aftertaste if bourbon and chocolate malt. A pretty decent barrel aged treatment.

Aug 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours an opaque black with a beige head. Smells of toasted malts and a hint of brett(?) Sweet with a hint of dryness. Aromas of toasted malts. Hints of Belgian yeastand coffee. Slightly vinous touch. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Dry, slightly bretty finish.

Aug 15, 2009 Bottle (incl. 3D glasses) in Sune’s Sommerhus (Thanks guys) - shared with Mette, Sune & Bager. Black - brown head. Licorice, oak, bourbon notes, herbal, grainy, pino noir notes, tobacco, chocolate, fullbodied. Nice complexity - Lovely.

Aug 8, 2009 A real treat at the local QFC is Camas, WA during my last visit. What a tasty porter. Like a vanilla malted milkshake with a nice bite.

Jul 22, 2009 3-D Bomber I got in Portland last november and had just held onto. Shared with my girlfriend Cyn and a friend. Pours black with a tan head. Nose is sweet and quite malty, with a nice oaky choco coffee feeling. Taste is sweet, malty and rich. The major problem for me here is the carbonation way over the top. It somewhat ruins this beer for me which is sad.

Jul 4, 2009 bottle thanks to mar. Pours black, minimal head. Nose is all burnt malts, chocolate. Flavor is chocolate, toffee, burnt malts. Good beer.
