Commercial Description:
Ropewalk is a mellow, malt-driven amber that dances a subtly sweet line. The balance of Crystal malt with a subtle dose of Northwest hops delivers a refreshing ale that makes for a great session beer. Originally brewed to mark our 20th anniversary, Ropewalk – which literally means “a long narrow building where rope is made” – is a tribute to our building’s roots as a rope factory, while also celebrating feats of daring everywhere.

On tap at the brewpub during ABA Beer Tour 07. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with an average off-white creamy head. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some peach and apricots and flowery hops. Taste is average carbonated, moderately sweet with flavors of toasted bread, caramel malt and some citrus zest. Finish is slightly watery with some extra carbonation and a metalic texture. More bread aftertaste than hop bitterness.

Drinkable beer. Nothing special, but it still beats the hell out of anything "domestic"

Bottle. Nice odor of caramel and toffee. Coppery amber color with an off-white head that foamed respectably. Starts a bit tart. Decent body. Caramel, matching bitter, bit of sour. Ok. Maybe a bit too much carbonation, but that goes away quickly. Seems very balanced through the finish.

Bland all around NW "micro" Thin body, barely an amber. Nose of most other Bridgeport beers. Thin watery finish, weak head. Not bad, just not really good.

Bottle. Poured deep amber with thin fast dissipating white head. Faint aroma. Modest body notes of malt caramel and water. Light hoppish finish. Fairly ordinary beer.

A 12 oz bottle with no fressness or made on date. A good looking amber body that is slighty cloudy with a fizzy off tan head. The smell is malty earth. The taste is bit weak but you can still taste the hops and malt. No lacing at all and it is carbonated to much.

Darker amber, moderate head, average lacing and retention. Aroma is caramel and light hops and fruit. Lighter body with a light sweet finish. Boring

12 oz bottle via Cost Plus World Market.. Pours a clear dark amber with an average size beige head. Nose is caramel, toasted grains, subtle earthy hops. Tastes like it smells with a little bit of toffee and nuttiness. Light/medium body. High carbonation. Pretty good although it tastes more like a brown ale than an Amber Ale.
