Aroma: Nice cherry aroma with the nice light wheat malt and some added spices.
Appearance: reddish golden in color, clear with a light head.
Flavor: This beer had so much going on it was hard to get the real cherry flavor. Some spices and added yeast flavors. Too much for this brew.
Palate: Dry Finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: Interesting brew this had so much going for it the flavors got lost in the mix. Cherry was there but light. There where yeast and other flavors that just got so lost in the huge mix. I was hoping for a repeat from last year.

Well it didn’t suck, but it was devoid of any character and it wasn’t that good. Nose is of cherry, wheat, and subtle Belgian influences. I did not get any wine or barrel notes at all. Pours golden with no head and some reddish essence which I am assuming is from the cherries. A medium strong cherry flavor accompanied by soft belgian notes, and a shit crap ton of wheat. I got none of the characteristics that made last years brew so much better. Some alcohol in the finish shows up and makes this ones drinkability go down just a bit. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Updated: Sep 12, 2009Found in Brown Jug in Anchorage AK. Pours clear and bubbly, golden color and a white head that fades FAST. Sweet aroma, some sour cherry tartness and a little oakiness. A sour mash taste upfront, a good wheat character, malty and hints of cherry and some farmhouse notes. A clean easy drinker, light body and full flavored. Goes down really smooth, an a bit complex for a fruity wheat ale, I like it. Seems like it could be labled a sour beer. Reid (1090), Salem, Oregon, USA

Subdued aromas,wheat,barn and pepper.
Intresting tase..strong wheatiness overlayed by tart cherrys with a bi of pit thrown in. Some alcohol tasted at end.
Not bad on the palate not thin but I would say sprightly, good summer drinking.
OK beer good drinking for the alcohol%. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Nose is crisp and wheat-filled with just a little sour cherry. Nice smell, really. The flavor retains that wheaty feel, but loses the crispness and fruit tones. Wait, there it is... a faint cherry note in the very back. Awww, too little too late. Comes in behind ’I thought it might have a chance’ in the rear of the pack.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2009 A golden ale with a thin white head. Nice light aroma of barnyard, oak, epsom salt and sour cherries. In mouth, a light cooling wheat with light cork notes, sour cherries, a bit of wheat malt, some lingering sourness. Interesting and refreshing, even for a 8% beer. Bomber, 4.49$, Bottle Barn. bvc (286), Kenmore, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Pours a odd clear orangish red yellow with a tight but thin white head. Nose is odd...thin, not all that inspiring, not a lot of cherry. What I do get is some prickly wheat with faint hints of slightly sweet/tart fruit. Not getting much in the way of oak. Taste is light, wheat, faint tart with some sweetness that has that yeasty belgian sugar characteristic. I had really been looking forward to this beer after thoroughly enjoying last years marion berry release. Not a offensive beer by any means, just a bit plain jane and needs way more cherry imho.
