22 oz. bottle purchased at Food Emporium. Appearance: Pours a reddish-golden color. Aroma: Cherries (duh) and sweet malt....it almost smells like cough syrup. Flavor: Like a Belgian Tripel and cherries, with a hint of banana.

Bottle. Poured a light orange with a red tint and a medium beige head. Aroma was full of wheat and sweet grains with an undertone of tart cherries. Flavor began with sweet cherry and wheat notes, finish was more tart from the cherries.

Too sweet, too cherry-ish, sub-par beer. This isn’t the worst fruit beer that I’ve ever had, although it gets fairly off-putting as it warms. The cherry flavor is over the top. It has the too intense sweet and sour of a juice concentrate. The underlying beer also isn’t particularly inviting. It needs to be much drier or richer - just somehow better. The beer reminds me of bad cherry pie filling. Also, it has essentially no head and an odd pumpkin orange color. I’m having more and more trouble going back for another sip. Overall, it’s mediocre at best.

bottle. slight hazed body, light strawberry blonde color, minimal head (white). first impressions of the nose are white candy sugar, tonic water (or sprite) and a faint touch of separated/candied all-purpose berry flavoring. approach is muted and dull. carbonation releases across the middle of the tongue and roof of the mouth, seltzer-like. faint touch of wood, faint touch of wheat and crackers, pale malt throughout. cherry presence is minimal, which is a blessing but doesn’t really make a bad beer any better. throughout the drink, from the approach to the surprisingly short and disappointing finish, it’s very muted, subdued and quiet. thing is, there’s nothing to be found if you settle in and try to evaluate this one.

Bomber. Smells of cherries, caramel. Pours golden with no head, no lacing. Looks flat. Tastes of tart cherries. Light bodied, thin, light carbonation. Decent fruit beer.

Sampled during Dark Lord Day 2009 near table 7. Pours a semi-clear golden orange colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of golden grain malt, some light cherry, wheat and a touch of cork. Taste is light to medium bodied, some carbonation, with flavors of wheat malt, some light cherry and a touch of yeast. Finish is a tad on the sweet side than tart per label’s description.
