boFNjackson (542), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 1, 2008 Bottle... Poured pinkish-red with a white head. I’d give it a 4 for appearance if the head didn’t fade so quickly. Aroma is citrusy and spicy, much like a Belgian golden ale. I think this beer is underrated as a fruit beer. It’s nothing too amazing, but in perspective of other fruit ales it’s not bad. Palate has a nice sizzle and an acidic undertone that coats the tongue. Berries are present but not overwhelming, and I think Pinot Noir aging has a nice effect. Much like a Sour Ale, very tart and sweet.
Rciesla (891), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Sep 26, 2008 Bottle. Amber body with no head. Cherries and vinous pinot notes. Some oakiness with a berry finish. anders37 (2752), Malmö, Sweden Sep 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a reddish color with a small slightly pinkish white head. Has a fruity tasrt berry aroma. Sweetish and slightly tart berry flavor. Has a fruity finish with some tart berry hints. Linus_Stick (1560), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 14, 2008 A delicious and different fruit beer courtesy Mr_Stitch. Aroma was very vinous and vinegary. Pour was a deep dark brown with plenty of small bubbles and a huge 3 finger tan head. Taste was nice and sour, but not mouth-puckering. Raspberry, vinegar and yeast with a some dark fruit. Carbonation was huge and biting. I’m suprised this scored so low. JK (2501), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Sep 14, 2008 Lightly tart cherry in the aroma and flavor. Some yeast as well. Unfortunately the cherry seems artificial. It is very dry, and this must be from the pinot barrels. Light red color. Lots of yeast. badgerben (3160), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Sep 10, 2008 Thanks to Skyview! Red color with no head. Just an every so slightly tart aroma. Fairly corny taste, finished off with a little bit of raspberry. No oak or Pinot taste.
