Commercial Description:
The pioneering spirit that made us Oregon's Oldest Craft Brewery ® is the inspiration behind our new European inspired big beautiful blonde ale, S?pris. Drawing from our heritage of fine ale craftsmanship, we pursued a fresh flavor direction that would encapsulate our history as well as our vision of bringing the best flavors of the world to your pint glass. S?pris is crafted with European two-row malt to maintain a clean, rich flavor that is delicate and immensely satisfying. The unique blend of hops from Germany, Czech Republic and Slovenia deliver a smooth flavor that contributes to the overall unique balanced dimensions S?pris offers. S?pris is naturally conditioned in the bottle and keg in the BridgePort tradition, and that’s where the similarity to our other beers ends. S?pris brings a distinct experience to the palate with ample effervescence and understated robustness.

Pours a slightly hazed bright golden yellow w/ medium semi creamy froth. Light nectar weight w/ ample residual effers. Not real complex but a rather tasty specimen. This could be Leffe’s baby sister. Flavors of citrus, banana spice w/ a nice crisply bittered finish. A perfect session brew.

Pale gold in color with a moderate white frothy head. Small fount of carbonation rising from teh center of the glass reminescent of triple fermented belgium beers though not as pronounced. Citrus, pine, and floral notes. Smooth with ample mouth acidity and powerful hops aftertaste.

plesant suprise from Bridgeport. This beer has somewhat complex characteristics, somthing uncharacteristic of the brewery. A little on the chewey side for the style, but I dig chewy. not gonna get into too much detail on this desperation Walgreens purchace; nice mouthefeel-decent aromas-fairly clean finish with minimal lingering funk. This beer obviously holds up well in the bottle. Way to go Bridgeport for putting out a decent beer !

12oz bottle via trade with kenb - Thanks Ken! - Pours cloudy pale golden with a short white head that fades quickly to a ring but laces a little from there. Aroma of yeast, and citrus, some grapefruit and some lemon. Flavor is much lemon, some yeast, light grain, a little bannana, and clove. Very crisp and clean on the palate and pretty well carbonated. Pretty refreshing actually and fairly light. I liked it.

12 oz bottle. Hazy yellow color. Head amost non-existanet. Grapefruit citrus aroma. Graoefruity lemon taste, Not very hoppy. Pretty well balanced.Tastes fizzy. Reminds me of Fresca, lol. Lightbodied and a bit watery. Ok sweet lemon finish. Not bad, not great. Definately different and something everyone should try as there is likely nothing quite like it.

Nice hop tones with lemon and citrus present. Also a bit bready, but still retains a nice sweetness. Well balanced in taste and crisp finish.

[Oregon Brewers Guild – 2006 Brewers Dinner] A special brew for the night this was a surprisingly good cask Belgian. An off white color with a creamy cask head. The brew was even more smooth that the regular bottle. Liked the balance of malt and wheat in this brew it was not overly sweet. Nice Beer.
