Commercial Description:
The pioneering spirit that made us Oregon's Oldest Craft Brewery ® is the inspiration behind our new European inspired big beautiful blonde ale, S?pris. Drawing from our heritage of fine ale craftsmanship, we pursued a fresh flavor direction that would encapsulate our history as well as our vision of bringing the best flavors of the world to your pint glass. S?pris is crafted with European two-row malt to maintain a clean, rich flavor that is delicate and immensely satisfying. The unique blend of hops from Germany, Czech Republic and Slovenia deliver a smooth flavor that contributes to the overall unique balanced dimensions S?pris offers. S?pris is naturally conditioned in the bottle and keg in the BridgePort tradition, and that’s where the similarity to our other beers ends. S?pris brings a distinct experience to the palate with ample effervescence and understated robustness.

This Belgian Blond Ale pours a light yellow color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet (peaches and oranges). A medium bodied Belgian blonde ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, lots of apricot. There is a hint of Belgian yeasts in this one, it kind of subdued but I think it there. Smooth taste. Not anything special, but a very drinkable everyday Belgian style ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Yeasty, doughy aroma with hints of banana. Straw in color. Fluffy white head with some lace. Lots of banana yeast, tart lemons and slight grass in the hops. Kind of like Orval light. Pretty good.

Bottle Pour- poured to leave out bottom dwelling yeast. Straw/light honey color. Light head, little to no lacing. Slight belgian taste to it, grassy summery taste. Should taste great on a hot afternoon pulled from an ice filled kiddie pool.

This was a surprising blonde ale. It had much more aroma than expected and well beyond just maltiness (spicey with a bit of orange). Hazy, yellow color with white head. Yesty and zesty flavors predominate and it is slightly sour. Quite drinkable and would be refreshing on a hot, summer day.

Bottle: Courtesy of wolhfs. Aroma is yeasty, grassy, spicey and a touch of citrus and orange peel. Pours a hazy yellowish-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a ring. Lots of yeast and citrus flavors up front. Finishes moderately spicey (clove), with some banana, orange peel and flowery hops. Light acidity in the finish as well. Flavor profile is rather similar to a Belgian Wit.

Draft @ Nellos. Pours more reddish/orange than a true blonde, whatcha going to do though. A Medium/small fluffy head sat atop this beer and was quite effervescent is the glass. Aroma grainy and hinted at notes of mild fruitiness. I really did not find any Belgian flavors in this beer, and was a little disappointed overall with this beer. Drinkable and somewhat refreshing, but overall quite dry on the palate.

Bottle poured a cloudy yellow orange with a light head and no lacing. Aroma of spice and yeast with a fruity spice and banana flavor. This finish is dry and tart

12 oz bottle, thanks Flyswatter! Slight hazy light golden color with only a small head. Lots of bubbles though. The aroma has quite a bit of orange and nice esters. Very nice. The flavor is nice and yeasty with a great balance of sweetness and bitterness. The bitterness seems to be one of the keys to a good Belgian blonde ale. Maybe a bit of a mineral flavor in its dryness. Great beer.
