Sledge Jr (2708), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 24, 2008 In the bottle from Beertopia. This was something of a disappointment. Bright gold with a medium head that dies fast. The aroma doesn’t create anything magical or remarkable that I hope to find in a Belgian. This seemed strong and unbalance in alcohol and had a bit of a medicinal finish. I’ll pass on this the next time.
chilangoglobal (89), Wagerningen, Netherlands Aug 19, 2008 incredible aroma, how they do that? I feel it since I opened the bottle. Mineral water and fresh hops, the mist from the bootle is so delicious. Appearance is amazing, I finished it 10 minutes ago and the foam still in the glass, wow. Taste: average from an ale, bit bitter, not sweet, the end is bit bitter too, however a good one. jzzbassman (684), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. Straw color with a nice white head. Smells great, lots of fruit and spice. Flavor is really soapy, herbal, and a bit tough to enjoy. Different, for sure it is. Borresteijn (448), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 8, 2008 Golden orange coloured beer, creamy white head. Aroma of sour apples, yeast, grains. Taste is soft, sweet-sour apples, fruity, malts and alcohol, slightly bitter finish. Prickly mouthfeel. Tastes more sour on draught. Prefer the bottle. One of my all time favourites. drfood (11), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 draft. sour and cidery with no head and scarcely any carbonation. not drinkable. Ober (276), Best, Netherlands Aug 2, 2008 A clear golden colored beer, wih a big creamy white head. The aroma of malts, yeast and fruits, like orange. The taste is in the beginning soft, thereafter it’s going to be a little bitter. It’s fruity, peaches and orange. A little alcohol. It has a long warm aftertaste. A good beer.
