Thanks to CapFlu/argo0 for this! No idea of the vintage. Thick clouded brown body. The nose is atrocious! It smelled so bad, that I actually like it! There's a band-aid, medicinal aroma with rotted malt that seems to be dominant. I was warned before I had this though. The taste is not as medicinal but it's still there. Some light malt sweetness and stale fruit. There's a corroded flavor to it. It's probably bad, which is why no one else drank it but I actually liked it like this because it was different. Wish I had a fresh bottle, but oh well!

'99 Vintage: Speckled rufous. Dwindling gray head. Complex steeped fig aroma with notes of caramel, sherry, vines, leather, Underlying perfume, earth, maple, honey, meaty malts, medicine, apple skin, peach, and oxidation. Well-concealed alcohol. Miniscule carbonation. Slick and soft. Sweet malt start matched by rich leathery malts and coconut brandy. Star anise, toasted malt, and luscious caramel backdrop. Powdery nalt textures and hints of paint. Fairly amounts of fennel along with a sherryish twang. The four years aging has diminished every ounce of hop character which gave way to a rich, musty, decomposed malt layout. Quite the shocker. Thanks for sharing, Indra!

12 oz. bottle. I'm not sure of the vintage because I drank it at the very dark Country Inn in Krumville, NY. Anyway, It tasted more like a Belgian beer, with a lot of alcohol. There were tastes of banana and raisins. This was a good beer, but be careful, the ABV can hurt you!

Vintage 10/99-weird ass color, a strange mixture of orange and brown..color is kind of "soft" if that makes any sense. there is a slight thin tan head. aroma is loaded with caramel, milk chocolate and hints of cherry. flavor is buttery and caramelly with more chocolate. the alcohol is barely detectable...i must have gotten the best bottle of the bunch!

Ruby brown color with a small lid of bubbles. Vinous caramel, alcohol, fruit and oak aroma. Malty and fruity. Warming finish. No open flames should be near your exhale. Perhaps a bit high in esters and phenols.

Vintage 10/98 - Poured a hazy orange with a HUGE off-white frothy head. Bubble size is a bit large but other than it actually looks quite nice. Holy band-aids batman. I remember having this one a long time ago and it not being this bad smelling. Oh well. The label claims it will age for up to 10 years. Me thinks that they were a bit optimisitc. Bottle has been in my control and refrigerated since purchase. No idea what the deal is here. Took one sip and almost gagged, like licking a 5-day old band-aid from a 3rd degree burn victim! Good god this is the biggest baddest drain pour ever. Excuse me while I go talk to Ralph on the big white phone. I think I might have ruined my tasting glass. I almost retched again as I dumped the damn thing.

1998 Vintage: Poured a huge head that dissipated rather quickly. Color is a hazy orange. I completely agree with Perkeo that it smells like bandaids. Actually made my gag reflex trigger. Not sure if I should taste this but here I go...Oh no!!!!! It is absolutely horrible. Taste is like burning hair (if you have ever smelled this, you know what I'm talking about). Could only muster down one small sip. Trash.

Awful, just awful. '98 vintage I was told, huge melting pot of acetone and molten bandaids up your nose, flavor is like spoiled/rancid maple syrup. It's dead, some one bury it...PLEASE!
