Oct 14, 2006 A hazy orange beer with a huge fluffy orange head. The aroma is sweet malty and spicy with lighter notes of caramel and alcohol. The flavor is sweet alcoholic - the alcohol biting the tongue, combined wiht light notes of spices and citrus, leading to a dry alcoholic end. The body is quite thick.

hazy amber, scant head, big sweet carmal malt aroma with a hint of hot alcohol, big floral hop nose, big, sweet, bitter, thick, rich carmel malt flavor with plenty of hops to balance, long bitter finish that starts to take over, becomes fumey, made with 29 different hops,

Jun 20, 2006 (22oz bottle) Off-white head atop a clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, floral, some orange. Taste is medium sweet, herbal/grapefruit. Creamy medium-full body. Alcohol quite well hidden.

Sep 20, 2006 Bottle thanks to Oakes. Orange colour with a medium white head. Sweet malty, fruity, citrus, hop aroma and a very sweet fruity, hop taste. Medium to full body with a sweet light alcoholic finish.

Nov 1, 2007 22oz bottle-pours a thin retaining light tan head and amber color. Aroma is dry citrus/pine hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is dry citrus pine hops-bitter, somewhat sweet medium malt-caramel, alcohol. Sipping. OK carbonation.

An ambitious 29 hop project that was really useless as the hop profile feels very simple in the end.
I like:
Lacing for a 10%+ beer. White grapefruit.
I dislike:
Lack of earnestness 29 hop claims. Strong alcohol, fuselic even. Slick body. Dullness, no excitement toward the next sip.

Jun 21, 2006 Updated: May 29, 2008Bottle... Clear, golden ale with a large, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is DFH 90 Minute IPA-ish.... fruity and citrusy with just a little evergreen. Well-hopped, but balanced flavor with notes of pineapple and a nice, malt backbone. A touch salty. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Medium bitter finish with more subtle salt at the wee end. Thanks go out to artusory for sharing his bottle of this!

Sep 11, 2005 Pours a transparent copper with a thin, lightly-lacing off-white head. Very complex floral hoppy aroma has a dense caramel malty balance. Body starts with some full, sticky caramel malt and plenty of grapefruity hop presence. Good complexity throughout, but has some burn in the finish. Interesting brew and if it hid its alcohol better, it would be really good.
