Commercial Description:
A chewy body full of caramel, chocolate, and roast is balanced with just a hint of smoke. The combination of traditional English and American hops finish the beer in delicately bitter fashion.

Had on tap at Old Chicago. Aroma is a nice hoppy scent. Color is deep amber with low carbonation and a big very thick tight head. Bold malt body with a peppery hop flavor and a mild bitterness. Ends with a dry nuttiness. Bitterness seems to grow a bit as you drink it. Its a good brew but not as bitter as I thought it would be and the hops come across too peppery.

Draught at brewery. Pours clear dark brown with a small, fizzy, light brown head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, nutty), heavy hops (flowers, pine, spruce), average yeast (dough) with notes of cola. Medium bodied, thin texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
