Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Apr 11, 2005 tap at brewery-served on nitrogen. pours a very dark amber hue with a small off-white head. faint coffee/espresso aroma. flavors are very sour flavors detract greatly from this beer. there are signs this beer had some good ingredients, but this sourness is just way too much. a porter with brett? Very flimsy body. I pass... Ernest (4250), Boulder, Colorado, USA Apr 3, 2005 Nitrogen draught, Bristol Brewpub, Colorado Springs.
Head is fully lasting.
Body is dark brown.
Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate, coffee), lightly hoppy (apricot).
Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery/creamy texture, soft carbonation.
A bit better than expected for a nitro pour as far as the aroma goes, but pretty flimsy in the mouth and too sour for my liking. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 6, 2004 Holy Coffee Bean!! Light and sweet yet with an omnipotent coffee character, exceptionally well balance. Well done (at least if you like coffee).
