Pours a hazy light orange amber brew with a creamy thin, fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a fine film and ring. Some spotty lacing. Aroma of light sweet caramel malt, some flowery hops and a touch of apple. Taste is medium bodied, light malty, with flavors of sweetened caramel malt and a touch of apple. Finish is slightly gritty, with a watery malt aftertaste. A decent light oktoberfest compared to most others. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Had this beer on 11/25/2004. Aroma is faint with a hint of malt. Color is a hazy orange with good carbonation and thin head. Taste is bright, sharp and bitter. Starting a light/medium body and going down crisp yet easy. Finish comes in with a light bright malt flavor and a faint bitterness. Overall I am let down, Bristol is a very good brewery and this is just not much of an Octoberfest. This is a tasty little beer, but that is the problem, its a little beer and a good Octoberfest should be a bold big beer. mtoast (313), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2007 On tap at the Blue Star, right next to the brewery, thank you James W. Davis! Fairly light color for an Oktoberfest, nice nutty malt aroma, very nice malt profile, a bit thin in the mouthfeel and again with the lack of head and lacing from Bristol. ratman197 (3256), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 17, 2005 Bottle. Pours a dull amber with an aroma of slightly-stale caramel and spice. Flavor never quite rounds itself out, instead it remains more like the aroma. Palate is watery. Needs improvement. snowtiger (106), Brighton, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 11, 2005 Pours a very clear amber / organe color with medium white head. The aroma is of toasty malt with some fruity hops slightly noticeable. The taste is nicely balanced, with dryness at first followed by bitterness, and finishing with a good malty character. A little big fro a traditional Oktoberfest but a very drinkable beer. jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 27, 2005 Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread, cookie), lightly hoppy (grapefruit, flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Not a terribly interesting example (not much aroma), but not bad.
