Piney, intense hop citrus aroma. Well hopped palate, prickley, spicey, grapefruit. Decent malt backbone but stays dry throughout. Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA Mar 21, 2004 Orange haze with a white head and nice lace. Crisp mouthfeel. Oak really came through in the aroma, as well as some really nice yeast flavors. Fruity notes, such as orange, lemon, and mango. Nice bitterness level, too. Well-balanced and a pleasure to drink. Ernest (4481), Boulder, Colorado, USA Mar 3, 2004 Draught. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (cookie), moderately hoppy (flowers, grapefruit, resin, apricot), lightly yeasty (dough), with a note of peach. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, heavily bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Good malt balance for an American IPA, enjoyable.
