Commercial Description:
Cheyenne Cañon Ale, the latest incarnation of the ever-popular Piñon Nut Brown, will be released Friday, July 6th. This year’s batch is a beauty. With malty sweetness up front, and a hint of nutty fruit in the finish, it’s a smooth, velvety ale that hides its higher-than-usual 6.9% ABV. Best of all, it feels as good as it tastes because 100% of the profits from the sale of each bottle or pint will be donated by Bristol to the Friends of Cheyenne Cañon, a volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the natural resources of North Cheyenne Cañon Park.

Pretty nutty aroma. The flavor is lighter than most nut browns but is also better in that regard. Really easy drinking.

Great beer, would like to see it picked up as a regular at Bristol. seems that it sold out way too fast.

Growler poured a clear reddish brown with a diminishing amber head. Aromas of nuts, chocolate and toasted malt. Palate was light bodied and crisp/ Flavors of cocoa, nuts and toastiness with a lingering smooth finish.

dDark brown body with brownish head. A nutty characteristic on the malty nose. A little pine on the finish and faint chocolate and nuts on the lightly roasted malt body.

Bomber. Pours dark brown with a foamy white head. Smells of caramel, nutty, earthy. Tastes of pepper, some resiny hints, pine nuts, some floral hints. Balanced and enjoyable.

22oz bomber(courtesy of RSRIZZO)-A dark brown body with a decent tan head that dissipated into a small covering over the beer. Aroma of malty sweetness and that about it. Taste on this medium to full bodied brew comes across with faint malt that grows stronger throughout the mouthful and ends with a nutty taste. Definitely hides the alcohol very well. I think a great tasting beer. Another great brew from Bristol.

Draught. Pours mahagony nut brown with a small tan rocky head and faint spotty-lined lacing. Aroma is earthy yeast (dust, musty) and caramel malt (toasted grain, meal). Milk chocolate, caramel malt sweet sugary start, smooth creamy body, no acidity and bitterness, nutty throughout. Medium bodied and creamy, smooth palate.

The Dan Journal #280. Tasted 8/17/09. 22oz bomber. Mildly sedimented with a dark amber hue. Eye ball of off-white head. Caramel, coffee and toast aromas. Nutty sweet nose. Medium bodied with nutty, caramel and brownie flavors. This was nice to try.
