Orange zest and coriander of course, and the girlfriend loves it, of course as well. A good fruity wit beer. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Much like the IPA I had from this company, this beer is very true to style. Yellow, hazy with almost no head. Aroma of bananas, yeast and bread, pretty much what I would hope to day about any Wit Bier. No faults, but nothing to rave about except that it is well made and true. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2005 Draught at Bristol. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head and lined lacing. Banana and heavy wheat malt (hay, straw), yeast (dough) aroma. Sour malt wheat, banana and corriander flavor with lightly bitter hop notes. Light bodied and fizzy palate, finishing. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Cloudy orange color. Major coriander comes out of the aroma, with hints of bitter orange peel, herbs, weeds, butter toffee and toasted nuts. Dull aroma unfortunately, with the overuse of spices covering up evrything that could be a bit Belgiany in the nose. I’ve always been a huge Bristol fan (just look at my ratings) and I am a huge fan of Belgian white beers, but when something sucks, it sucks and this just plain sucks. There is very little yeast complexity, although at least it shows signs of a Belgian strain. Overspiced, clearly and heavy on the coriander. Poor balance, with a thin body. Just lacking the magic of Bristol’s other beers. The yeast pour did improve the beer dramatically however, improving the score from a 2.2 to a 2.9. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy light to medium yellow, bottle conditioned.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a strong note of coriander, notes of lemon zest, clove.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Rather strong on the coriander, with not quite enough malt to carry this through the mouth experience...very watery and thin even for the style, and overly spiced. Overall, a pretty average wit IMHO. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2005 Thin, lasting head. Body is a hazy light orange. Aroma has lots of dry lemon peel and hints of bananna. Taste is slightly acidic, wheaty, with touches of spice. Slight, balanced astringency. Light to medium body, but appropriate. Hearty wheat taste in the finish, slight bitters. Oakes (8166), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2005 Hazy, insipid yellow appearance. The aroma is somewhat faint, with light hints of wheat and spice. Full, flavourful palate, though, rich with coriander. There are lean, but prominent pale malts backing up the spicecapade, and a hint of acidity in the finish to throw you for a loop and bring everything together at the same time. Cool.
