Commercial Description:
A scrumptious beer that will beguile even the most tentative of micro drinkers. Flaked red wheat, flaked oats, acidulated malt and pilsen malt combine to create its traditional white gold color. Coriander and sweet orange peel give it a little Belgian wang and an extremely refreshing palate.

Hazy, insipid yellow appearance. The aroma is somewhat faint, with light hints of wheat and spice. Full, flavourful palate, though, rich with coriander. There are lean, but prominent pale malts backing up the spicecapade, and a hint of acidity in the finish to throw you for a loop and bring everything together at the same time. Cool.

Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light to medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a strong note of coriander, notes of lemon zest, clove. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Rather strong on the coriander, with not quite enough malt to carry this through the mouth experience...very watery and thin even for the style, and overly spiced. Overall, a pretty average wit IMHO.

Draught at Bristol. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head and lined lacing. Banana and heavy wheat malt (hay, straw), yeast (dough) aroma. Sour malt wheat, banana and corriander flavor with lightly bitter hop notes. Light bodied and fizzy palate, finishing.

Bomber poured a hazy golden yellow with a small, diminishing white head. Aromas of yeast, wheat, and spice. Palate was light biodied and crisp yet smooth. Flavors of citrus, grassy hops, and a bit of spice with a crisp, dry lingering finish.

Bottle. Yellow-gold hue; slightly cloudy; thin head. Lively carbonation; lightish body, but it has a soft syrupyness to it. Sweet malts, with notes of fresh bread dough and sugar cookies. Yeast notes are far in the background. Heavy spice (coriander) and bold hops (stark grass, earthy herbs) hog the ball. Healthy amount of drying bitterness in the finish. Bitterness built in the aftertaste. A little stark and unbalanced in some respects, but I kind of liked its edgy boldness in a way.

Smells kind of soapy. Bottle. Taste pretty good for a wit. Orange zest and coriander of course, and the girlfriend loves it, of course as well. A good fruity wit beer.
