Commercial Description:
Laughing Lab has a nourishing maltiness that comes from six specialty malts. Its nutty, roasted flavor is mildly sweet, but not too rich. Smooth and luscious!

This is a decent scottish ale produced by Bristol Brewing. Pours a nice dark ruby red (but leaning a bit towards brown) hue. Caramel, roasted - nutty flavors and maybe some over-ripe apples come through. Average head and lacing but the color is beautiful. Very good beer for brew newbies, but also satisfies the aficionados.

12oz bottle-An aroma of malt and caramel on an amber medium body with an off white head. Taste of malt and caramel. Not a bad tasting beer but I don’t know if it fits the style.

On tap-Manitou Springs Co.-Poured a ruby red/brown color w/a moderate foamy head. Nutty, malty, roasted aroma. Pleasent sweet flavor w/strong malt presence. Full flavor, long finish. Very refreshing.

tap. brown pour with small soapy head. sour malt aroma. classic amber malty taste, burnt malts, caramel.. a little light but not bad. nice carbonation. lacks crispness, hops not strong enough but refreshing none the less.

This beer is served all over the Colorado Sprinsg area where I live and I find it very dissapointing, I like other Bristol beers much better. Taste falls flat for me.

This was a really enjoyable beer. A really true on true take of what I consider a Scottish ale to be. Strong amount of maltiness with a bit of spice and caramel malt delicately balanced by the slightest bit of smokiness and some peaty funkiness, almost a medicincal smell throughout.

Lab is a good, drinkable amber ale. Probably my favorite beer from Bristol. It’s a staple local brew on tap in almost any Colorado Springs bar. I would recommend it to anyone. Won’t knock you off your seat, but won’t disappoint either.
