wetherel (1565), Encinitas, California, USA Aug 21, 2009 On tap at Bristol, Co Springs, CO. Clear amber color. Small head. A little yeasty feet aroma. Easy to drink. Pretty nice. Crafty07 (391), Florence, Kentucky, USA Jun 17, 2009 Another good microbrewed amber with a low rating from ratebeer, this tasty ale has a good malt presence and decent hop balance to provide excellent refreshment and allows it be quite sessionable. Better than given credit for here. jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Apr 30, 2009 (bottle). Pours an amber color. Medium size white head. Minimal lacing. Malt aroma. Malt and light alcohol flavor. Finish is slightly astringent. Moderate carbonation. mrbirmingham (37), Kansas, USA Apr 18, 2009 Aroma: Malts,
Appearance: Pours deep copper with a slight haze. The head is tall, off white and persistent.
Flavor: Toasted malts, citrus notes and bready after taste
Overall Impression: Easy drinking, almost refreshing. We balance between the malts and hops, both support the other and neither is more pronounced.
drjay44 (757), Salida, Colorado, USA Dec 23, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a thin lasting head, with some lacing over a clear amber body....nose is of malts and no discernible hops....tastes of roasted malts with a bit caramel....mouth feel is light. Overall balanced and beery, but very light to my palate. There are many better. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Dec 5, 2008 Hazy orange amber pour. Moderate head that is rather short lived. Very toasty malty aroma with a soft berry fruit undertone. Beautifully malty. Toasty bread crusts and dark caramel with a subtle sweet stewed fruit note and low bitterness. There is some quality malt in this beer that is the star performer so hop heads may not be very impressed. I loved it. kyzr (1119), Belgrade, Montana, USA Nov 29, 2008 Light amber pour with smaller head. Has a sweet smelling malty nose. flavor is sweet as well with just a touch of roast on the finish. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 26, 2008 Pours a light amber/gold shade with a small white head. Pretty much lacking in anything that makes beer interesting to me, very subpar.
