Commercial Description:
Flander's Red is a style originally brewed in the Flemish speaking region of Belgium. Ours is aged on wood for a long period before serving. It's amber in color and showcases a balance between sweet and sour. Fruit and cider notes are carried in the nose and softly drop away in the finish. Our Skull and Bones showcase available this month only for a very limited number of hours. Cheers!

LIke the Oud Bruin, an excellent Flemsih sour. Smells fantastic -sour rapsberries from their nearby mountains. Tastes that way tool Head is not the best, but the beer makes up for it. Not that heavy but an excellent sour, with the red rocket as base.

Woody cherries and mild brett in the aroma. Muddy amber-brown body with a low white head that recedes to ring. Lightly farmy cherry flavour offers notes of vanilla and mint. Light body with fair carbonation. Serving temperature was unfortunately far too cold which perhaps hampered appreciation of the flavours. Sampled at GABF 2005.

Sampled @ GABF- Pleasently tricked into rating this! SOUR! Pours a dark brown, small white head. Aroma is musty, sour cherries, cobwebs. Flavor is huge sour cherries, sour patch kids. Dry finish.

Bottle. Pours copper with a huge foamy off-white head. Wheat and malt aromas linger around the huge cherry nose. Cinnamon and cherry wheat flavor, sour and a little watery. Light and fizzy palate.

Glad to see this got added! Logan indeed provided me with my bottle as well...Brett jumps out at me in the nose...also some fruitiness mixes in...the beer drinks pretty light and easy...but does have some nice complexity from the yeast and nice tart/sour finish. Yumm...thanks Logan!
