| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 28, 2006 On tap. Pours a hazy light straw yellow with little to no head. Far more a blonde than a pale ale. Aroma hints at some rich malt and a sharp hop bitterness with some notes of citrus. Flavor: yep, this is a lawnmower beer all right. Grassy, pinprick-bitter hops are the first impression of this so-called pale ale that tastes for all the world like a Kolsch. The malt that showed in the aroma are hiding behind the hops in the flavor. Medium to thin palate. Pretty decent beer but not what one expects of an English pale ale. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 8, 2006 This struck me as being more of a golden ale than as the EPA it’s categorized as being. Pale yellow with a frothy white head, the aroma is a sweet biscuity malt with a drop of honey and a trace amount of a grassy bitterness. The latter kicks up a notch in the flavor, but the light, honey sweet malts dominate. Kind of boring.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 21, 2006 Draft sampler at Broad Ripple. Light, and also a touch cloudy. Seems to have a bit of honey to it, but their menu says no. Nice light malt profile that you can actually taste. Should probably find another category besides English Pale Ale, as this easy drinking beer would only suffer in comparison. jsquire (2107), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 12, 2005 On tap at the pub. Pale golden color with almost no head as served in the half pint glass. Toasty malt with lots of hops given the name of the beer. It is a little thin, but appropriate for the style, with a lemon citrus sense to it. Quaffable. jahughey (65), Franklin, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Sep 15, 2005 Quite accessible, but surprisingly solid. Nice balance, more hop and malt than the average mass beer drinker (ie., swiller of tasteless horse piss w/ only goal of finding buzz) is used to. Really nice bready, fresh malt character (biscuit?) provides intro to good beer flavor. Imagine that ! Easily the best of the brewpub "intro" brews. Moderately hoppy with a medium body. Tmoney99 (4742), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
