Light spicy yeast nose with a touc of sulfur and apple/pear fruitiness over a crisp pilsner malt base. Very light bodied and crackery with a hint of acidity. Some light white grapes are suggested as well. Earthy bitterness on the back of the palate. Lingering fruit throughout. Quite a refreshing supper beer. Crisp and tasty with a fairly expressive yeast. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Draught at the Gate. Light gold and slightly hazy with a faint JuicyFruit gum/banana yeast and lemony aroma. Refreshing lightly sweet flavor with bubblegum, citrus and white grape notes. Crisp finish. Similar I thought to a Saison, but more lemony and white-grapey than orangey and spicy, if that makes sense. Overall, a very nice summer offering. I really craved a second pint.
