Commercial Description:
Formerly known as Pennant Ale '55...Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale '55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to Brooklyn’s world champion baseball team.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber, clear body with small white head. The aroma is malt and hop. Taste is hop and yeast. Decent beer.

Light and crisp. A little yeast flavor and some mild hops. Pretty tame overall, but I’d say a good beer to drink. I bought a six pack and drank it in one sitting with some friends. While it won’t explode with some crazy flavors, it’s something that’s good for a night of drinking, to relax or just to have around.

Much better than the ratings, but not much like a pale ale - more like a golden ale. There’s not much hoppiness but lots of flavor to enjoy, good offering from Brooklyn.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white head. Aroma is light malt, and hop bitterness, a bit musky. Flavor is lightly bitter the whole way through with a malt backbone. Lightly nutty with some earthy hoppiness.

I think this beer is under-rated. Pours a nice amber color with a white head. I thought the hops were just right...not too much. Perfect on a hot summer day.

Interesting. Coppery amber in color with a thick white head. Bready aroma. Flavor is classic pale ale with an overabundance of the biscuit-like character. Don’t think I could drink more than one of these. It was decent, but not quite my thing.
